Eleanor and Park

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
Eleanor... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough... Eleanor.
Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she even gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises... Park.
Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds-- smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. (Summary from book).

Guuuyyyss I'm so sad! I can tell that this book has a wonderful story inside, (and I wouldn't say that about many romance books), not to mention that LOTS of people have told me this is a super cute book, but I just can't give this book a good review! There is waaayyyy too much cussing, and I'm just not comfortable reading those words over and over and over again. The amount of cussing at the very beginning of the book is more than I hear in a day of High School. So, unfortunately, I have to say no to this book :((((

Tiger's Curse

Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck
When Kelsey accepts a two week job at the circus in town to help with the animals, she has no idea that it will take her farther from home than she had ever been.
Ren started off as just a tiger. A white tiger, with piercing blue eyes and an unnaturally mild personality. Kelsey becomes increasingly close with the creature, until a mysterious man named Mr. Kadam comes along offering to purchase the tiger. Torn, Kelsey realizes how much she will miss Ren, until Mr. Kadam offers for her to return to India with him to care for the tiger. Kelsey accepts the offer, but the reward turns out to be more than she bargained for. Ren is in fact an ancient Indian prince, cursed for the last 300 years to remain a tiger, but now it seems that with Kelsey's help, the spell can be broken. With the two men by her side, as well as help from a few Indian God's and Goddesses, Kelsey must overcome dark and deathly forces she never could have imagined, all while fighting the darkness and confusion that has arisen within herself.

After two reccomendations for this book (one from Good or Goodbye and one from my aunt) I knew I HAD to pick it up, and I absolutely loved it! There is so much to love about this book, from the exquisite details, to the magic, to the intriguing characters. May I just say I have never fallen in love so quickly with a main male character...haha. I have no love life. Anyways, the other element I loved with the book was it's ability to wrap me up in the moment. I was almost always squealing with excitement, gasping at unexpected twists, yelling at the characters, or banging my head on the book. All in all, I loved this read! Note: this book is a little more romantic than your normal adventure story, so I wouldn't recommend it to boys, but you can read whatever you want :)

Watch out for: lots of kissing (more than I'm used to anyways. The books I read usually only have 1-2 small kissing scenes)

DEFINETLY CHECK OUT THIS BOOK!

Artemis Fowl

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

Twelve-year-old genius Artemis Fowl isn't using his brains to cure cancer.
Instead, he's working to pull off the biggest feat no human has ever accomplished- to get his hands on fairy gold.
It won't be easy. Once he has possession of the writings of the People, he must translate them. Then Artemis must kidnap a fairy, hold it for ransom, and finally, he must out-plan and out-wit the enemy. But Artemis isn't too worried about that. He's always one step ahead.
What Artemis doesn't count on is to kidnap the wrong fairy. Holly Short isn't just any civilian; she is a member of the LEPrecon Unit, and she has a tough team backing her up. When the fairies start to ignore fair play, Artemis begins to realize what he is up against.
Okay okay okay, so I've been wanting to read this book for YEARS now, and I finally checked it out and I'm so glad I did!

This book is an absolutely thrilling read. Author Eoin Colfer creates a world that has the perfect blend of fantasy and modern, which basically left me with only one choice which was to love this book. It is a perfect adventure full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat (or wherever it is you like to read). This is definetly on my list of favorite books, and what makes it even better is that there are 7 MORE TO READ:):):) All you need to watch out for is a little bit of cussing; nothing over-the-top.
